• Valentin met Speed when he went to the Marshal's office to apply for a job. He was impressed with Marshal Guyer and would like for their working relationship to evolve into a friendship.

Val crossed paths with the Morgan brothers, Travis and Hunter, when he was in his early twenties. Over time, they took to riding together and, later, worked the Texas Rangers together. Life paths took the men in different directions, but they have remained good friends. No matter how many miles between them or how much time has passed, the three almost instinctively know when one of them is in need. If the Morgans need help, Val will be there with no questions asked.
