"I look forward to it." She smiled up at him a bit goofily, longer than necessary as she idly stroked the horse's nose, then she suddenly gasped. "Oh, and you have to bring this pretty girl by...ask the man at the livery if she is for sale, tell him I might be interested in trade, if he likes pies and such."
She wasn't holding much hope, but maybe in Spring she could just outright buy the animal, then she would just have to worry about boarding it. "I don't suppose there will be much chance to ride once Winter comes anyway."
Smiling, she gave him another quick kiss on the cheek, maybe brazen, but certainly sincere. "Thank you, Barnabas."

“That won’t be no problem, no problem atall, Emeline.” Pronto said with a smile, but then he was sad that the day was already over, though he realized, all things end. Only the good ones end too soon. I’ll be shore ta let ya know what he says.”

“Nope, don’t ‘spose there would be, what with the snow an’ all. ‘Sides, the tempercher would be agin it. But ya never know, that man upstairs might well smile down on us with some right nice days. Never know.”

“No Ma’am, thank you, been a most pleasant day.” He said, taken aback by the kiss, not that it upset him, quite the contrary in fact. I’ll be in fer breakfast and look forward to seein’ you then.”
