The Dealer had a knife and the dog had a gun and the cat had a shot of Rye.
I'm conflicted. I like the "chance" option too, but would like to use Scott Cory.... we can see how we feel when ready to add this plot to the lineup?

Fair enough. It would greatly depend on the direction the story is going as well, especially where it might involve the mayor and city council. Tough call for the moment.
But I have a candidate in mind...bwahahahahahaha ech...cough. cough, snort

I was looking at the dates, but those are when the thread was moved, anyway, I don't think I've ever seen an avatar for Scott Corey, Richard Frasworth comes to mine, but that's just me. Case would be the only Steelgrave that could run for Mayor, so there is that. The Steelgrave sons are out living their own lives with little or no interest in Kalispell, but that could certainly change.
Actually, I thought Scott Corey was stepping down as Mayor. Correct me if I'm wrong. Speed stepped in as Town Marshal when Hannah stepped away, who had replaced her dad. Again, maybe I got all that wrong.

Stuart Randall was the face I used to use for "Marshal Cory", based on the character the same actor played in Laramie. However, I think it's best to leave him as having retired completely, maybe even moved away. I totally adored the actor/character in the TV series, but don't want to add him back in unless we do him as a shared.
I have Hannah returning to Kalispell, but not to the Marshal's office. She'll be going to work for the Thorntons as a guard (for the twins) and ranch hand as needed.
To the best of my knowledge, JulieS was going with Matt Wentworth winding up with the mayoral honors. However, does not mean there's not a staff person or town councilman/woman that's not on the Steelgrave payroll.
PS: Regarding dice rolling, I'll get our bot to working on Discord again.

As far as I know Matt is still going to be Mayor hence the setup with the hospital contract threads. He's now got the support of Leah Steelgrave..which no doubt will annoy her father.
Other candidates that I know of are Cole Latham, Hiriam Priest and the fellow who owns the dress shop (sorry can't remember his name as I am on my mobile).
As far as we know, Scott Cary was retiring for good.

His candidature is just an excuse for me to have Arabella go around annoying everybody by canvassing for him for mayor (and for Samuel J. Tilden for President!) I certainly don't want him to win!

What would we do if Speed stepped down as Marshal to run his mining businesses? Really, there's no real need for him or Pike, who now has a family on the way and a ranch. Just a recurring thought I've had.
We do pretty much have this election plot figured out as it is and I'm all for it as is, but open to change.
Mr Guyer the mine owner makes perfect sense in the game, but will he have anything to do any more, story-wise? OK, if you want to basically retire him, but that feels like a waste of a good character. I like him as Marshall, that's my two penn'oth!

Oh, I would not waste him, there are several avenues he might take besides his buisness enterprises. It was a thought I thought was appropriate to the game.
I liked him as Marshal too.
Now with him and Pike moving on, we have no lawmen but Charlie and come on, give me a break. Young Charlie as our chief or only lawman? Doubt the town would stand for that. (No offense, Julie)
I like the idea that Matt Wentworth wins the mayor election.
