And Isaiah was surprised he didn't get ribbed by his sister! He leaned back in his chair now, resting the coffee mug on his leg as he listened about what had been happening with Addy since he last left. She was really doing good for herself and that made him happy.
"I'd love that Addy." He said in response to helping her build onto her home. "And I'm all for taking on that job as driver. You just tell me who to talk to and where to be." He sighed as he looked at her, replacing the mug with the whiskey. "I don't want me 'n Josh to be a burden to you and Weedy though. I know you have no problem letting me know that I'm a real pain in the @$$...." He chuckled some but then stopped. "You promise me though that you'll let me know if you need me to get out of your hair." He raised a brow at her as he took a sip of the whiskey.
Sit down, shut up, don't touch anythin'
"Oh, doncha worry none on that," Addy assured her brother, "I don't expect you'll live here forever, but fer now..." she shrugged. "Kin is kin!" She laughed, then continued. "As fer that job, it's me ya'd be talkin' to. I'm gonna be a proper business woman, have a real company. An' I'm glad I got you ta help, gonna be a little different than what I've been doin'."
Leaning back in her chair, she took a sip of whisky. "I'm thinkin' once th' mill an' mine are up an' runnin' proper, I might could put on another wagon. We'll see. But it won't hurt for ya ta meet Speed Guyer, he owns th' mine...an' he's th' marshal here abouts!"
It really warmed his heart in a way that he needed for his sister to welcome he and Josh the way she was....and Weedy too. He'd been nothing but a good sport through all of this! His eyes widened some when she said she was the one that was going to be running the business. "Well look at you!" He said, proud of all this baby sister was doin' with herself. "You always were the boss of all us boys and now ya get ta be official boss." He said raising his whiskey towards her with a smile and then throwing the rest of it back. "Mighty proud of ya, Addy." He said as he sat the empty glass down on the table.
"I'd be happy to meet Guyer. Sounds like he's a good one to make kind with." He chuckled.

"Oh, well, I'm not so sure on runnin' a business, but Miss Orr's teachin' me ta read, an' I can keep most th' cyphers on my head." So far, Addy really hadn't had the need for any sort of ledger keeping, and on the occasion that she did need help, Weedy would pitch in. But now that she was expanding and taking on regular clients, she'd likely have to be a little more formal about the books.
"You'll like Speed, he's a good man, we'll go see 'im in th' mornin', after we get th' boys off ta school. Just don't let 'im talk ya inta bein' a deputy!"
"Is Miss. Orr gonna be Josh's teacher?" He had always wanted to be able to read as well and could just a little and that was only things he had memorized which wouldn't get him far in reading other words. "I'd really love to be able ta read as well....Josh already knows more'n I do." He said, laughing a bit as he stifled a yawn. "I reckon' we better get some sleep." He suggested, knowing the morning sun would be coming up much quicker than either of them would want.
"I'll look forward to meetin' Speed tomorrow then." He laughed and shook his head. "That's that last thing I think I'd ever do.....I wouldn't make a good deputy." He smirked, thinking about the idea of it.

"Nah, th' teacher's Miss Richardson," Addy explained, "Miss Orr's just a kind, well-to-do friend, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind one more pupil."
Rising, Addy dunked the shot glasses in soapy water to rinse them, then dipped them in clear water and handed them to her brother to dry while she dumped the bins of water.
"Sleep good." She gave Isiah a big hug. "It's good ta have you two back. Good ta have family here, an' I think havin' a man steady'll be good fer Weedy." She'd been doing the best she could with the lad, but a boy needed a man to instill the things she couldn't.
OOC: I'll get us a morning thread going, maybe just mentioning dropping the boys at school?
Isaiah helped get the kitchen back in order, pushing all the chairs under and then helping a bit with the dishes.
He wrapped his arms around his sister and hugged her back. He held Addy by her shoulders as she spoke and he smiled, happy to know that Weedy could use having him around. "I'll do what I can, Addy. I ain't the best man to look up to I s'ppose but I do try to be honest and work hard." He chuckled some, winking at her. "And Josh sure could use a woman's touch. The poor kid been stuck with me all these months without his Ma." Isaish shook his head, getting lost in his thoughts for just a second as he thought about Daisy and how much he missed her.....he couldn't let himself do that though or he'd fall back into that peculiar state he'd been in right after she died. He didn't like it and he'd dug himself out of it for now he supposed, or he was just keeping himself so busy that he didn't have time to think on it. So, he should keep himself that way, busy! He knew Addy could keep up with the fella's more than just about any man around, but she was still a lady and he knew Josh could use her lovin'
