Arabella hears Weedy and Wyatt's Theater Review

The whole thing really was absurd, except for the poor, deceased Mary, and Weedy was beginning to think that he had been right, and he and Wyatt should have just walked away.  At least he'd gotten out of wearing that stupid angel-gown thing, and the wings!  If Wyatt hadn't been his best friend, he would be spreading this news all around school, and maybe even draw some pictures to pass around!

But a small part of him felt sorry for his friend, so he picked up the board and shrugged.  "You can hide behind this," he suggested, "I won't look, you got nothing worth gandering at!"

"Good idea, Porter!" Arabella smiled, she didn't how the helpful little fellow knew about Wyatt's alleged shortcomings. "But just hurry"

"Yeah, my feet are getting colder than hers!" Ray complained, nodding at the inert Mary. So was the rest of him in the flimsy nightgown... oh well, at least he'd gotten in first and managed to nab the one that didn't have all the holes in it. The moths had had a field-day in the one that Wyatt had to put on.

Understandably, Wyatt was not thrilled to have to take off his clothes in front of Arabella. Just cuz she liked to gallivant around naked. And then to wear this skimpy white gown?  Needless to say he was quite slow taking off his shoes.

Weedy now picked up the board and shrugged. "You can hide behind this," he suggested, "I won't look, you got nothing worth gandering at!"

Good idea, Porter!" Arabella smiled.

Pride offended, Wyatt frowned at Weedy, "What do you mean? Mine is sure bigger than yours."  Lest Arabella wonder about it all, Wyatt added, "We been skinny dipping in the pond on our property."

Now then he started, he made sure he stripped quite rapidly before Arabella could wander around the board and see for herself. Wouldn't put it past the girl. Next he slipped the thin white robe over his head then down over his young frame then straightened it. Least it went to his ankles. Gosh, there were a bunch of holes in this thing!

"There. You happy?" he grumped.

Weedy shrugged, not sure what all Wyatt was going on about with sizes, but if it was a pissing contest he wanted to get into, Weedy had all the ammo he needed with Wyatt standing there in that...thing!  As much as he was trying to keep his composure, Weedy couldn't help but snicker at the sight.

Still, in defense of his friend, he asked, "So, is there gonna be a mask or something?"  There was no sense in all this secrecy if they didn't hide their faces somehow, right?  It seemed strange to have a picture to remember your loved one, and then being asked about the other people.  'Oh, right, that's Wyatt Redmond.'  And there was no guarantee that no one besides Mary's folks would see the picture.

Still, in defense of his friend, he asked, "So, is there gonna be a mask or something?"

"UH?" grunted Arabella with a frown. "What for? They both look like a pair of innocent little angels already..." her eyes played over the two well-built teenagers' nether regions "... well, above the waist anyway, and their unpleasantnesses won't be in the frame anyway."

She opened the back door that led out into the yard at the back. Arabella had some flat bits of scenery out there, one showed a painted fluffy clouded sky.

"All right boys, carry the coffin out, and let's get a move on once we're out there - I don't want her out in the Sun too long, if you get my drift." She herself hefted the camera on its tripod and after putting it down outside arranged three deal chairs in front of the backdrop.

"Come on, let's lift her out of the coffin and stick her in the middle chair and then you two angels sit either side of her with your arms around her and try and support her head, she's been dead over a day... I'll fetch the neck-brace if she's lolling too much..." Arabella barked out orders like she was General Lee or something.

Weedy's eyes widened as he glanced at Wyatt, wondering again about the wisdom in this, and whether it was worth it.  He didn't mind carrying the coffin, and at least he didn't have to try to 'prop up' Mary's head, but he'd probably be expected to help get her out of the coffin.

"Won't she be stiff?" he asked, his nose wrinkled up.  After all, the animals he'd seen that were dead for more than just a couple of hours were all stiff and unbending, so trying to get Mary to 'sit' might be difficult at best.

ooc: Sorry!  This one got lost in traffic with me.

Wyatt was not happy by all this, he knew he looked ridiculous in this...so called angel costume. Even angels wouldn't wanna wear this thing! And now Arabella wanted them to actually touch..more than touch move the corpse?

"Won't she be stiff?" Weedy asked, his nose wrinkled up.

Weedy had a good point, everything that died stiffened up and not that long after death either. His know it all sister even had a fancy name for it -rigger mortis.

"I'm not doing that, you do it, Arabella," Wyatt frowned.

"Won't she be stiff?" Weedy asked, his nose wrinkled up.

"Oh, not any more" replied Arabella, matter-of-factly "By now we'll have the opposite problem, when the stiffening wears off folk get all floppy, what you call 'dead weight' Even this little thing'll be heavier than she looks. Well, come on then, we haven't got all day!" she ordered.

"I'm not doing that, you do it, Arabella," Wyatt frowned.

"Ugh, what a baby!" sighed the girl in black, rolling her dark blue eyes. "Come on Raymond, give me a hand"

Arabella wasn't particularly strong, but Raymond Matthews had a wiry strength, and the two of them were used to the job of moving cadavers around, which was as tricky as it was grisly.

"Get on you seat ready, Wy." she commanded the other 'Angel' as they carried the poor dead girl in her snow-white shroud over to the chairs in front of the painted back-drop. "Porter, you got the light reflector?" she asked Weedy as Ray muttered "Hey, watch her head, will ya?"

Weedy was beginning to to wonder if Wyatt was having second thoughts, but then, Weedy had offered to just up and leave, but Wyatt had insisted on staying, so...

"Yeah, I got the thing," assured Arabella, although he wasn't sure if he had the thing or it had him!  It was large and unwieldy, especially since he was trying to be good and not drag it on the ground.  He was at least happy that he wasn't being recruited to mess with the body, and honestly just wanted to go, but he wasn't going to abandon Wyatt.

"This where this goes?" he asked Arabella, leaning on the screen.  He really wasn't sure what it was for, so he had no idea where it might go.

Wyatt stood there stubbornly, unmoved by the insult to his manhood, he was no kid anymore especially not a baby.

Arabella wasn't particularly strong, but Raymond Matthews had a wiry strength, and the two of them were used to the job of moving cadavers around, which was as tricky as it was grisly.

"Fine!" Wyatt sullenly sat down, he felt so uncomfortable in this thin gown and even more uncomfortable about the girl's corpse.

He just wanted this over with so he could get his money and get out of this get up too!
