Sit down, shut up, don't touch anythin'
Morning had been busy for Addy, although all of her deliveries had been local so that she was had time after putting up the team to clean up before heading to the Lickskillet for the meeting that would help set the course for her future as well as Weedy's.
Clad in a blue wool skirt and mis-matched blue wasitcoat, Addy made her way to the cafe and stepped inside. Clara had been told about the meeting before hand, and had set up a private table for them in the front corner by the window, so they could have their meeting without being disturbed.
A few minutes early, Addy stepped into the cafe and took in the wonderful aromas.
No sooner did Addy arrive than Josiah pulled up in his buggy. Getting down, he attached the ground anchor weight and together to the harness; although his horse would stand without it, it was a precaution from sudden noises that might cause the animal to bolt.
He stepped up on the boardwalk and made his way inside the cafe. He saw Addy right off, and that was cause to smile. Any minute, Weedy would be showing up, and those from the Danforth home would be on their way by now. What he found to be of interest was the men who watched over Leah; three of them were across the street. What he couldn't see were the other two, who were riding in with Jonah and the ladies.
"Mornin', Addy. Looks like a nice day out there, and a better one in here." He greeted

"Josiah." Addy gave the man a nod and a smile, relieved that he was here, although he was supposed to be! But she'd known him for a while, and she trusted him. Not that she didn't trust the others, but this was new territory for her, and she knew he would protect her.
"Glad ya made it. I'm all flustrated on this, an' it'll be good ta have someone who can explain things all proper, how this investor nonsense works." She knew, of course, that they wouldn't be meeting here if it wasn't a good idea, it was just a matter of understanding.
"It seems like it's real complicated, but you've got yourself two of the best minds when it comes to investing." He said as he sat down. It's like giving me a dollar to get me started, and as I make money, your investment gets repaid by sharing in my good fortune. Every so often you get a payment, and that payment, on your share continues as long as my good fortune, or in your case, your business lasts." He explained. " Even after you have passed and Weedy's runnin' things. Now there might be a better explanation, but I think that's the gist of the thing."
He smiled, "it is a good thing to do without money too. Investing can give you a lifetime of support." He added, "Guess we're a mite early."
