Sarah took a good look at the proof and smiled, "Well, it looks like you've covered everything for now. No doubt there will be more to add as planning progresses. I suspect that once the heads of various organisations in town see that this isn't just some flight of fancy they will get behind it."
In the town the size of Kalispell, there were only a few organisations such as the school board, the church and the Kalispell Ladies Association, which she knew would be the biggest stumbling block. There would be some ladies in the association that would back the celebrations but there would be others who would hold back until Elizabeth Martin gave her approval. As far as she could see that wouldn't be a problem, but then again, it was hard to guess what Mrs. Martin would or wouldn't do.

"Every town needs a newspaper."
Phin smiled, "That's the hope. I mean, without folks getting involved well, it might be too much for just these few of us to pull off." He speculated. "But I do have faith that these organizations and the everyday folks will want to be involved in just the biggest event the town has ever seen. I'll have a posted worked up with what we need going forward. That should help us a lot."

"Every town needs a newspaper."
The sheet of paper was a good size that he had decided to use for the poster, and as thick as one would expect for a [poster that would hopefully be displayed in any number of stores and shops about town. He had also decided to have it in plain black, after dismissing the idea of multiple colors of ink, which would just be a lot of extra work, albeit colorful, and would be a lot of work.
"Here it is, plain, but to the point, I think." He said, displaying the poster.

Even though she couldn't read all the words, just seeing the flyer made the event all the more real, and exciting. "Give me a day'er so an' I'll get some sketches done fer it," she declared, grinning. "This is gonna be real good fer th' town, an' fun, too! Can't wait ta see it!"
Of course, there was a degree of skepticism that most of it was real, and honestly, some of it sounded so absurd she wouldn't believe it until she saw it with her own eyes! "They gonna have a big tent?" she asked. She'd seen one of those once, from a distance, and had been intrigued ever since to get close to something like that, to even go inside. That could really be something, what with all those wild animals, although they probably weren't running loose, right?
"The law is the law."
"Mining's not everyone's choice of hobbies, it just happens to be mine."
"Gives it a real sense of being close at hand, doesn't it?" Speed asked. Now the hope was that others would get excited and get involved with the event."
"Yes, and as Sarah has pointed out, there will most likely be more as we move forward with the planning," Phin agreed. "It's hard to know, never having done this sort of thing. And the races, and the prize money, I mean, how much would we offer and how many races would we hold?"
"Good questions. Depends on the number of entries. There are probably a couple ways to go, but then we'll need a cowboy with some knowledge to ramrod the horse races. And the games for the kids, now those will be a lot of fun and need prizes." Speed pointed out. "What we're gonna need are people to get involved in all of this to make it happen. The circus and the dance will take care of themselves, as will the bar set up. Lots left to get done, that's for sure!"
