Tully smiled shyly, murmuring, "Thank ya." For the first time in her life she had people who would look after her and help her, and who cared enough to do that, although it was something she had yet to fully embrace.
"I'm truly grateful fer trainin', I know ya can't always be there if somethin' happens." And she knew full-well she was the only one who could save herself, should the situation arise again. "It's good ya try not ta kill unless ya gotta. Seems just as much a sin ta do that because ya can as ta not when ya should." She shrugged. "I mean, there's times ya got no choice, right? Some push ya so's there's no choice, so I reckon it's on them."
Sighing, Tully shook her head. "Leastways now I got no cause ta be out on th' streets alone after dark." She thought for a moment then asked, "So, in Japan ya can rightly kill someone who breaks th' law? Seems... harsh if it's just somethin' little."
She couldn't quite imagine dying because you stole a shirt from a clothesline!
